NiLuJe, help!! I'll try to explain what's happening here - when I download your zipped files, not all of the files within the zipped folder would extract. I keep getting errors for most of them during the extraction process. I did get all of the files that I needed for the jailbreak, and the screensavers, though not ALL of the other files within those zipped files extracted, but I can't get the install/uninstall files to unzip for the K3 fonts. What am I doing wrong? Using Vista 64bit, and standard "Extract All" option.

Ok, I got the zipped font files to extract, but every time I try to update with the appropriate k3w install file, it is unsuccessful.

@BryanW: Which error code appears on the bottom left corner of the screen on the "Update unsuccessful' page? If it's U007, it means your Kindle's not jailbroken.

Hmm, when I extract the files using 7zip, they extract but with the message that they are broken.

Yep, U002 is a md5 checksum error on the package itself.

Something's seriously wrong with your system, because I'm pretty sure the packages are okay . Will check if the MR upload scrambled some of them, but I doubt that...

UPDATE: Yep, they're okay. Both the zipfiles & the checksums. Something's definitely very wrong on your end.

Here are the exact error messages that 7zip gives after extraction:

1 CRC failed in 'scr\linkfonts\fonts\CJK.ttf'. File is broken
2 CRC failed in 'update_kindle_fonts_3.9.N_k3g_install.bin'. File is broken.
3 CRC failed in ''update_kindle_fonts_3.9.N_k3gb_install.bin'. File is broken.
4 CRC failed in ''update_kindle_fonts_3.9.N_k3w_install.bin'. File is broken.

All of the other files (that I don't need) seem to extract just fine.

What zip file are you trying to extract? kindle-fonts-3.9.N-k3?

I just downloaded it here and it extracts with no errors at all with 7Zip on a W7 machine.

The same ones that you extracted Tiersten, and using the same extraction programs as well. Weird. I did the jailbreak, and screensavers just fine, though some of those zipped files were broken as well, but it extracted the ones I needed, so I didn't think anything of it.

I've tried it on 3 laptops and 2 desktops and nothing will work. Very strange.

What version of 7zip are you using?

I did consider that you've got faulty memory but it can't be faulty on every single one of your PCs...

The 7zip beta for Win 32bit, as well as for Win 64bit.
