Who has never been a fan of big-hair metal bands, but recognizes there are levels of quality in any musical genre, and refuses to settle for lowest common denominator.

Funny thing is, this band knocked out some half-dozen charting singles in the 3 or 4 years they were relevant. Erstwhile singer Jani Lane has said numerous times that he despises "Cherry Pie" or, more specifically, the fact that he's remembered more for that song than any other. For (or despite) being pop-metal, Lane had some talent and could write a hit in his sleep if he'd get off the booze and the blow. I was never a fan of theirs (my friends and I wrote them off as bubblegum the first time around) but they're alright in a nostalgic way from this retired metalhead's vantage-point in the same way I give George Michael credit for the same thing, even though I personally have no use for that type of music.

EDIT: Sorry to everyone outside the U.S. who was not able to see the video; I was unaware that limitation existed.

As far I know, "meat pie and sauce" isn't an accepted euphemism for anything. Sometimes a meat pie and sauce is just a meat pie and sauce. Of course, through Benny Hill glasses, almost anything's a euphemism.

I just discovered a feature on my iPad that I had never seen. If you touch the gray bar above the content of a website, the part where the back arrow is, without actually hitting an active area, the page scrolls to the top automatically. That will be handy, sine the User CP is at the top, rather than the bottom, where it ought to be.

Every now and then, while in a data entry dialogue box, I seem to manage to bring up the "Undo" option on my iPad. I've never looked at the manual, so I've no idea how to do it, or how I've done it. I'd like to use it more often, but I'm yet to figure out what iTouched to make it pop up.
