Good news: Limbo by Bernard Wolfe is back in print as of Sept. 22, 2010, according to Amazon.com. Bad news: we are still waiting for a digital edition. This is a disarming book, in more ways than one. My original copy, which dates back to 1952, is falling apart. It needs a shot in the arm.

My all time favorite book is, sadly, still not available anywhere in any format (other than paper, of course). Bringing Out the Dead by Joe Connelly.

TEXTBOOKS! They're seldom available for Kindle and they cost an arm and a leg. It's a farce.

EBooks to be published
21 April 2010

The entire Casca series is to be published this coming summer in ebook format. The publisher has secured a contract and work is ongoing to design new covers for the first 24 books in time for their release. This site will be able to sell these new ebooks when they are released. Keep an eye out here for further news.

No further news since then, looking forward to it though as my part of Australia only sold the first 3.

For myself All the EE Doc Smith books, the Pyramid press versions as the Panther versions are abridged, all of the Heinlein books too.

I can second that - oh sure, I'm nearly 40 years old but I have to say I'm a sucker for easy-reading sci-fi. I still remember reading them back in the late 80's at school when ever I could. Sadly I've only got one such book left on my shelf these days, the rest have long since vanished through too many house moves.

Paul.

The original story as it was in Astounding or the later novel with Silverberg, which I also enjoyed?

My biggest disappointment is that I am not able to download the works of Richard Adams, specifically Watership Down, Maia, and Shardik.

Books about the US space program:

Carrying the Fire: An Astronaut's Journey by Michael Collins.

Moon Shot: The Inside Story of America's Race to the Moon by Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton.

Lost Moon by Jim Lovell

Man on the Moon: The Voyages of the Apollo Astronauts by Andrew Chaikin.

Apollo: The Race to the Moon by Charles A. Murray & Catherine Bly Cox

Genesis: The Story of Apollo 8 by Robert Zimmerman

A couple of the more recent memoirs (Gene Kranz, Gene Cernan) are available for Kindle. The rest, nada, which is a real shame.
