Using logic:

There's zero evidence any gods exist.

There's zero evidence the specific god you believe in exists.

That makes the belief in the god you believe in... well... insane.

If you KNOW, that means you have actual evidence. Present your evidence.

And I have no reason to trust you any more than I have reason to trust people who believe in different gods and claim they exist.

I won't talk about my personal experiences on this forum, but suffice it to say that I've been through trials and doubts in my life, but now I know. God speaks to people personally.

Apart from that... theres a growing body of evidence coming from near death experience that gives a glimpse as to whats going on increasingly backed up by scientists and physicians. Also there is the historical record of Jesus's life and his subsequent effect as a force for good upon society afterwards (for all you nitpickers out there, I'm not saying that evil hasn't been done in the name of religion). Then theres the overwhelming accounts of ordinary people throughout history who believe in God and his son. Atheism's a new thing remember that. It'll pass.

Sometimes they even convince themselves that a certain plainly evil device is actually good for the world, as the famous case concerning the thermonuclear bomb. They're looking for these false moralities in order to justify their research and enable them to continue in their path. Just because we can do something doesn't mean we should. Many people posted about how they don't need religion to live ethically. That may be true but its dangerous. Its all about perspective. Point of view. Whom do you place as the center of your universe. People don't intentionally subvert normal moral rules, or course not. Even many atheists are living normal ethical lives, sure. Where it gets tricky is in cases where a person defines an activity as part of 'who they are' or has a very strong desire to do something but needs some belief system to back it up. This is when a person may choose to modify a moral rule for personal gain. Theres mild examples of this and extreme. Politicians telling a white lie to protect their reputations to Jeffrey Dahmer praying at an idol made of his victims skulls so he could continue exploring the evil he was obsessed with.
Persecuting people who think differently, Priests abusing children, justifying slavery and war...yeah I'm getting the hang of this.

I'm not sure how knowledge in itself is damaging. The application of knowledge can be for sure but history shows that religion doesn't seem to stop people doing just that.

Provide evidence for your claim.

There are other people who think other gods speak to them.

[Citation needed]. Near death experiences are the result of a brain shutting down due to lack of oxygen. We can induce them using ketamine.

So historical, nobody wrote a word about the guy while he was alive, or for decades after his death.

Appeal to popularity logical fallacy.

It's older than your religion.

In conclusion, you have failed to provide any evidence for your claim. You don't know your religion is true, you just believe it's true, and every single time you misrepresent it as fact, you are lying.

As has been stated repeatedly, it is irrational to expect anyone to prove a negative.

The ball is in your court, terrazoid. Provide evidence for your claim.

It is a reasonable request. Look into near death experience. But this is off the point. Look God revealed himself many times to people. You think people were making up the same thing again and again?

They may genuinely believe; however, as I have explained, that is no evidence. And many people believe that different gods have revealed themselves to them.
