Congrats! I have a soft spot for The Losing Role, as it was the first e-book I bought (on Smashwords, about 3 weeks ago) and I suspect it went some way to convincing me to buy an e-reader (I read it using the Smashwords online reader).

For what it's worth, I think the chance to start reading it for free is really useful - I'm more likely to give a book a chance if I can start reading it for free, and if I like it there's no way I'm not going to pay to read the full thing. |

Yeah, I'm finding one of the best and most revolutionary things about e-reading is having the ability to read a sample. Plus I can do it in my own home. Steve |

Hi, everyone:
I’m a new author, winner of the “Boo-Boo Award For Most Inane Novel Ever Written By A Guy." [That must be a mistake on my plague, because I think they mean "insane," but in a good way]. as well as the “Carpel Tunnel Syndrome Award For Best And Longest Novel Written By A Male-Type Contestant.” (Competition was fierce, let me tell you. About 1,000 Indy righters entered. One guy had to be disqualified, because he was actually a GIRL!) Anyway, right now I’m working on a nostril where an asteroid crashes into the Earth – I haven’t seen this one done yet, so I’m ril excited abouut it – and everyone except won man and only this woman survive. It’s takes places in the furtherest rashes of the cosmos, and it’s up too one lone renegade to explin how this happiness to the Earth. Oh, before I forgit, I need volunteers to proofread my septic novel. When yuou’ve written as much as I have, it’s better to git someone else to do the rilly drudge work, and let the ril work alone to the autor. Well, I gotta go now, I ‘ve got 50 pages to write before lunch, a rilly tough love seen between the guy and the girl. I'm 14 years old. Lets talke! HEY! TELL US ABOUT your NOVEL! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Don (Moderator) Last edited by Dr. Drib; 09-19-2010 at 10:24 AM. |

For your consideration: Serendipity House
Sylvie was a pleaser. She did as her mother pleased, and she did as her fiancé pleased. Then she did as she pleased. Raised by a domineering mother, Sylvie doesn’t like the submissive woman she’s become. Determined to take back her life, she heads to the hills instead of to the altar on her wedding day. Coming across a quaint, country inn with an intriguing name, she impulsively checks into Serendipity House. Peopled with an odd assortment of characters, the inn has clearly seen better days. Even the regulars have a bit of wear on them. Thus, when attractive Alex arrives and is strangely comfortable vacationing among the geriatric set, Sylvie is suspicious and does her best to ignore him. But Alex will not be ignored, pushing her buttons until she admits, if only to herself that she’s falling in love with him. Not until she’s hired to manage the inn does she learn he’s not the distinguished gentleman he purports to be, but a streetwise PI hired by her ex to find her. Adding insult to injury, he’s bought the inn and asks for her help in restoring it to its former glory. Forced to work together, both learn about relationships, expectations, and acceptance—among family members as well as strangers who become like family. Thanks for reading , and I hope you’ll visit Serendipity House. Joyce |

This thread is a discordian plot (device). Please refrain from reading it. Also, please refrain from writing it - over and over again. That would probably mean that you are insane. SAN -100. Cthulhu loves you. That is all.

On a serious note...
Read an intelligent and enlightening tale, which Clayton Bye of the Deepening World of Fiction called "a professionally written and solidly edited book that I feel is well worth the price and time you’ll spend on it." Dead Forever 1: Awakening In a conformist society that reincarnates, insurgents are eliminated by erasing the memory of past lives. Robbed of his identity and purpose, a reluctant hero is dumped into a transient existence, and he regards himself as insignificant. But he is of great interest to agents in black who come to collect him. His decision to flee begins a journey of rediscovery, and when he's rescued by an oddball crew claiming to be fellow rebels, the boundaries of reality are tested, and who to trust is anyone's guess. Eager to arouse his memory, a flirtatious member of the rebel team shows him the life he once enjoyed, and more, as he returns to a strange world where bodies are manufactured and childhood is obsolete. If only he could be a child again. First he'll have to remember how to reincarnate. -- Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0034G6628 Smashwords: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/8981 |
