Norton and I went to an adoption event at a local pet store today, but returned empty-handed. Maybe next time. At least he seemed to have fun seeing all the other dogs. The ones he seemed most interested in were the pit bulls, but I don't want another pit. Even the good ones strike unnecessary fear into people. I remember when taking Cain for a walk how some people would cross the street to avoid him. And he was a perfect gentleman!

Vivaldi, now there's an interesting composer. He wrote a couple of great duets for trumpets that I've played a time or two.

I used to play that on a piano and accompany myself with a keyboard into which I had pre-programmed additional instruments. It went over great at weddings (although one time I flubbed it rather badly). The sheet music I used when learning it by the way was one of those old copies that incorrectly attributed Trumpet Voluntary to Henry Purcell instead of Jeremiah Clarke.

My junior-high band teacher would play two trumpets simultaneously. First phrase of the "Superman" theme (the Christopher Reeve era). Harmonized too.

I stuck with the "Star Wars" theme and only one trumpet. Was first chair though

Nooo, band camp was for geeks, I had a bicycle to ride, soccer to play, girls to chase etc. Anyway I quit band in high school...you can see my high school band in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", that's them jamming out in the parade. True story.

If it's a rear trumpet, wouldn't that negate the need for a mouthpiece?

Seriously though, he would literally play both trumpets, one in each hand, at the same time.

It gets better. His last name was Key, and he named his daughters Melody and Harmony. I swear on any religious text you'd care to use that I'm not making this up.
