Well, sony didn't really gave us a release date either. "start October", kinda vague. They shouldn't be that far off really.
Anyway, i'm going to wait until both are out, so I can play with them in a shop before deciding

Interesting. It's to wonder why the french website still says "start october". . Sony never cared much about us french.

The orizon should have a release date pretty soon. As to the Orizon itself, think it will be either October, or november.

True, but having followed pocketbook initial new readers at Computex in June to the more mature and sophisticated ones they announced at IFA last week you have to admit that they've upt'd their game. Also Sony's new reader, although more expensive than the rest, is also quite sexy, will feature the Pearl screens like the Kindle before the rest of the competition and appears (at this point in time at least) to be an improvement from the 600.

The Orizon appears to be the same device that was announced since CES in January for intended release in the April. From what I've observed so far there does not appear to be any major improvement made to the device since then. That's why I think the Orizon is coming out a bit too late It may have been out of their control thanks to the Sipix screen problems but it's still a bit too late unfortunately.

Pocketbook, welll, until they sell in France. I mean, in brick and mortar shops. I'm not putting money on new reader unless I can see it a play around with it a little before.

Sony, they seams to have understood the meaning of justify at last.

In the end, the orizon will probably win the game because of one thing : folders. I'll be having a hard time adjusting to collections if I get a sony.

Oh, the sony site still says october, but the webshop where my mother ordered says next week... and personally, I'll believe that webshop, and not sonystyle...

(besides, sonystyle gives €249 as price, the webshop €229...
