Electronics prices on both sides of the atlantic don't always follow currency rates. Often you see the same numerical value.

That $400 Euro price could easily map out at US$399.

The only way to know what pricing will be is to wait for product to actually ship.

Indeed...If you try to order the Kindle DXG from Europe for example, it comes to about the same amount in euro as in US dollars, since you have to pay import fees deposit (still unclear to me what it is, but in this case it's about 20% of the price which is approximately VAT), and shipping...The result is approximately 380 €.

IFA start on the 3.09.10 we must wait one day. Can't wait.
I haven't read it from Pocketbook official but 901 is cancel for me, it is only for schools in Ukraine and not for retail selling.
Wait for the 902 and new infos about that. The 901 - that would be a good reader for me for the money. All I have used - only reading.

The 902 will be available from about middle of October. Presale will start at the beginning of October and the price will be positively surprising. The 902 will not have a plastic screen yet, but I have handled it for three days now and it seems to be remarkably sturdy and stable, so no need to worry about mysterious broken screens. Beta software is quite stable, as well and has some never before seen features. PDFs (especially big format PDFs), look just great. The 902 will be available in black and in white and does look certainly stylish. It will integrate WiFi and Bluetooth and bookland.net book portal with more than a quarter million of commercial ebooks in lots of different languages. Be prepared for the big event!

However - you are using GTK to create the GUI? Isn't that a little costly on a device like that in terms of power?

Yes, the GfK are optimising the think. Don't forget we have a 533 mhz procesor in the new models, so not really a big problem. We had Android working on the 902, but as the screen really is not fast enough and the keys were not mapped, it didn't make much sense.
