I wanted to order when the K3 was first announced, but when I went to check my bank account, money had been stolen (!) It took me a few days to sort this out, so I didn't order until the 3rd. Given the accounts of delays, I'd given up hope of seeing my K3 ahead of my impending travels (including a couple of 4 hour train journeys for which it would have been ideal).

Imagine my surprise when they shipped today - my birthday

They're already with CitiLink, and I chose 1-day delivery, so I'm pretty certain that I'll have them before going away now.

Hurrah for Amazon, that's what I say.

my kindle 3 was delivered on saturday 28th. working great apart from being unable to register the damned thing.

neither registering it on the kindle itself, nor via the my amazon account seems to be working.

I know what you mean. I practically did the ironing on a cloud after mine was shipped. I kept thinking, get it done means more time to play later in the week lol

I got mine Saturday morning via FedEx. I'm coming from a Sony and so far, without reading anything on it yet, I like the clarity of the screen, the sophisto case, the quicker refresh, and the fact that it works with my old Sony's Calibre library. Not liking pressing the Back button often when I'm trying to press down on the 5-way controller.

That's interesting. You're the first person we've heard from whose Kindle shipped by FedEx. I didn't know that Amazon in the UK even used FedEx!

I live like 30 minutes away from the airport and it arrived there this morning at 3:50 am. Got back from work at 11 am and had missed the UPS guy by one hour. I guess I was his first delivery of the day.
Considering the price for International Priority me thinks it is only fair that he returns later today, but a call to UPS says he will make another attempt tomorrow.
