Anyone getting a shipping date on their K3? - Page 24

Well, doesn't look like it's going to get here tomorrow like they said. Not that it should be a surprise at all.

But, Amazon did credit me for the shipping charges so I'm getting free overnight shipping just for asking about it for when ever it does ship. Neat!

That's too bad, mine hasn't even been packaged yet for shipping and ordered on Aug 1st. But Amazon did say that they would be shipped by Aug 27, not delivered, at least that's the way I read it. (sigh)

So nice for the folks who got theirs today and again tomorrow. I am figuring sometime next week.

For some people in selected zip codes the original order page showed "pre-order now for release-date DELIVERY." That little message is why people expected to get it Friday or sooner.

Went out for dinner and when I got home, status had changed to "Shipping Soon ... being prepared for shipment ... cannot be canceled or changed." Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Yeah, I was in the Sept 4 group anyway, but once I applied a gift card it said, "Delivery Date: August 27." Just weird. Their system must just be getting hammered with this launch.

That doesn't mean I won't keep an eye out for the UPS truck tomorrow though.

I ordered my Kindle on July 29, 12:45 pm. After being in limbo for the past two days, I finally got the coveted email @ 10:15 pm. I checked UPS and they are shipping from Newark, DE @ 10:15 pm and expected to arrive on AUGUST 27!!!!!!

I wish you all luck, and a quick delivery of the new Kindle!!!

Anyone else getting multiple copies of the "Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to Amazon Kindle." email they send out? I've gotten seven times now, must be some strange glitch.

I doubt they travel on domestic flights but rather transport flights and maybe those arent registered on flightaware? They arent in Australia anyway, only passenger flights.

Well I'm still on "Not Yet Dispatched", nothing about it reaching the packing stage yet, expected delivery on August 27--28th, and ummm... today is 27th.
Probably a good idea to shift my bed to the front room window, it's raining and the van driver is probably European and has lost his way...

These two planes are UPS planes and from what I understand is that all flights are available on flightaware, at least in the US.

My Kindle Wifi boarded a plane in Cologne very early this morning and has landed in Langenhagen a few hours ago. That's about 15 kilometers from where I live...
