Anyone getting a shipping date on their K3? - Page 20

No activity on my cc yet and not shipped yet even though shows delivery date of Aug30-31. Thinking Amazon is stringing me along!

My wifi order on the 29th was showing shipping soon all day yesterday (first checked around 8am eastern). I received the Shipped email this morning at 02:14 eastern. Shipped via UPS. UPS says "Billing Information Received" for 2nd day air, Shipped/Billed On: 08/25/2010.

My amazon order page shows that it shipped August 25, 2010 03:13:37 AM "Shipment has left seller facility and is in transit"

Nothing states where it is coming from, but at least they all state delivery for the 27th.

EDIT: Also got the Amazon Payments email at 05:05 eastern stating activity for Aug 25.

Just imagine if the plane choke-full of Kindles crashes in the "Cast Away" style on a deserted island and survivors have all those Kindles and no e-books. Hmmmm..., imagine also a really big S.O.S. sign made on a beach using black K3s.

Just jealous...

Yes, Pushka, I had the same thought. Actually, I can feel my kindle on the truck, on its way to me. I can imagine the shipping area is in total chaos.

OK, I know I said it gets here when it gets here and all that, but I was trusting Amazon to honor their 'order now for release day delivery' offering. Looks like while my later order (the 29th) will get here tomorrow the one I ordered on the 28th won't get here until Monday (of course that's the one that's for me). Slightly disappointed that they aren't going to deliver when they said they would.

Let's wait till tomorrow before drawing any conclusions... Delivery date should be the 27th, and that is not today. I think those people that already got their Kindles should not have unboxed it!

My cover arrived.. YAY.

The Kindle however still shows 'Not yet dispatched' - Delivery Estimate: 27 Aug 2010.
No activity on the card either.

My hubby called me at work to say I had an Amazon parcel - which was the cover :YAY: and the Kindle itself is still showing as 'Not Shipped' but with a projected delivery date of the 27th to 28th August.

One can hope, but since according to UPS they sent it ground and it hasn't left Kentucky yet I'm not overly hopeful.

I ordered my WiFi K3 & cover on 30 July. My cover shipped yesterday from Sterling, VA (I'm in Alexandria, VA, so only about 35-40 miles away). But my K3 hasn't shipped and still does not have an estimated delivery date; only change is that it's being prepared for shipment & can't be cancelled.
