It depends, sometimes we make the PDF from Quark, sometimes from Word.

Try Sigil ....

Calibre will generate epub files depending on your input ....

Alternatively create the epub files from scratch, just a bunch of html files plus a few others all zipped up .... The mobileread wiki will give you a starter or two on the way the package is designed.

Thanks, I will check it out. We are still trying to figure out

how to make xhtml1.1. files, because those are apparently the best source files to make epub ones. We have never worked with web-based stuff and html, so this is all new.
