DR1000SW coming soon??

I've found out astonishing thing which I hadn't heard of on the web - refer to the link(Never a commercial!! no wholesaler here you know

Does it mean DR1000SW is going to be on sale soon?? If it does, then when will the releasing date be?
In fact, I've waited for the next version of DR1000 series and I plan to buy it although I have DR800SG now.
Is there anybody who knows some information about that?

Irex is bankrupt.

Corporate Reorg will focous on B2B not end consumers as the buisness model.

Even if the DR1000SW ever comes out it will likely be a corporate thing and not something that could be purchased except by businesses in batches of several hundred. Even money is on Irex trying to get back into the position of developing the hardware of E-ink not the end products.

I think that is fake.
1. It is too cheap. ($199) even it is for 1000 pieces.
2. It is in Indonesia. If you do google search, this company (PT. Reader Electronics Tech) has posted in many website and selling many branded. ( SONY, KiNDLE, etc.) They may pick DR1000SW without knowing it has never born yet.

Actually, if a last batch of DR1000S would still be at the factory, unpaid for by iRex, this sounds like the sort of unit price it would go for. But how is a scam like this ever going to work? Who's going to fork over $143,000 - $199,000 without thoroughly looking into what they buy?

I don't know where they come up with this stuff, but the details on the page are not accurate. There is no DR1000SW.

Really?? Then it is shocking.. that they sell products which even manufacturer doesn't know.

Is it possible although there is no retailing?

Well, perhaps that's the iRex device builder company and after iRex is closed they can produce same device...

If they were, they may have a contract that states they can sell units ordered by iRex but not paid for on the open market. I doubt such a stock exists anywhere, because if it does, I think it would be most attractive for the trustee to simply pay up and sell them in a more organized way.

I can't imagine they'd have a contract that allows them to arbitrarily produce more, let alone a contract and skills to create a new product type.

If the alibaba offers are real @ 10 units and 150/200$ per unit, it will be the deal of the year.

Maybe irex doesnt offer anymore warranty or support, but even today it is the best reader of the market and at that price its crazy.

Don't believe it, if you do, I can introduce you to some nice Nigerians who can make you a quick 15 million if you provide them with your back account number. The only way this could be real is if the Irex's were stolen.

Suddenly there are too many sellers from many Asian countries on wholesale sites now from this month.. OEM factories began to make it by themselves after bankrupt of iRex?? It's just no more than guess. Who can explain why they are being sold there, the actual reason..
(In my opinion, I think DR1000S is the most advanced one and will be at least until the next year in spite that it came out even 2 years ago!! Really want to buy brand new one)

Bankrupcy is not a matter of one day, it is possible that irex made an order of some DR1000S and later they can't pay it, so the manufacturer see himself with some hundreds DR1000S and without a buyer because irex not longer exist, and maybe they are selling it to recover the invested money.

I think the reason they are on offer like that is that it is a hard to come by product with which they feel relatively safe to scam you. It's not like iRex is going to come after them in force; they are too busy not existing anymore.

Also, it is not too unlikely that some batches are floating out there somewhere. What's sold out over here can still be in stock at a distributor elsewhere, right? Or perhaps the factory really is selling off some units that iRex never paid. Those options add a bit of credibility to the offers, which always helps if you're trying to scam people..

If the only payment options are "moneygram", "Western Union", etc., it's most likely a scam. Heck, even Paypal isn't that safe anymore :-/
