Apparently not - Audible are extremely protective of their format as it is proprietary and has DRM on I think.

I did see some open source software called Chapter & Verse somewhere which lets you create one file with 'Chapter Marks' in it which is essentially what an Audible file does. I don't know about bookmarking or anything, and it probaby would have to be stored in the music folder on the Kindle as I think the audible format is the only one recognised in it's folder.

Thanks,

I have several audiobooks, all are unprotected, I sort of hoped to convert them to a format that they would function on my new K3 as an audiobook, rather than just as an MP3 file (When converted), oh well just an idea,

Thanks again,

How about an app to allow Left justification - ragged right? It would greatly add to the readability of the narrow text column on the K3.

Geesh..I thought I was the only one vexed by forced justification....

BTW: the change to the pref file on the K2 from full to "left" justification doesnt' seem to do a lot, if anything. there should be a way to override the developer's justification format.

I'd like a Kindle application that makes the AZW/Mobipocket reader on the Kindle actually work as well as Mobipocket Reader for Windows.

- better ' search' function, while having a lot of books on the Kindle, because it tends to
freeze up
- free browsing with 3G (as I paid extra for that) also in the Netherlands and not just
' shop in Kindle'.

EldRick, have a look at this thread

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94129

From about Page 3 - it starts off about expanding the margins then goes into Left Justification which is possible as I have it as you will see from the screenshots...
