I realized that the first thing I'll do once they charge me for my Kindle is to run all my change up to the Coinstar to covert to "ebook money."

Sell it on eBay.
It doesn't sound like the wait for the stock refresh is going to be as long this time as it was when the Kindle first launched. I doubt there's going to be much of a profit to be made that way. The first time, it was out of stock until after Christmas which cause some insanely high ebay prices.

Very slowly bring the box in from the front stoop, set it on the island in the kitchen, go get a knife, cut open the box, plug it in, read the instruction manual, set up wi-fi, rip the skin off my K2 (my husband doesn't like it - I am looking forward to seeing what it looks like without, because I put it on the day after I got it), delete all the romance and slasher novels off my K2, download all the freebie business, science and history books I downloaded for my husband, proudly lay the K2 next to his side of the bed, get angry because he doesn't touch the K2 and the battery runs down and he comes to me to fix it.

Wow, I am exhausted.

Sync my collections from my DX. Hoping that'll go well. Then test out the fabled web browser! Then I've got to load up a pdf from work and see if it's really better for reading those than the DX. I told myself if there wasn't a big step-up in pdf flexibility that I'd send the k3 back. (hahahahahah! Does anyone believe me?)

Plug it in, add my collections, and load it up from Calibre. Then sit around reading it and every now and then hold the K3 close and say "My precioussss."

This will be my first e-reader (and I am terribly, terribly excited); I simply cannot wait for it to arrive. (I've already been reading through the User's Guide and downloading free books to load into it, so I can hit the ground running when it arrives.)

I guess the first thing I'll do is, of course, plug it in so it can charge, but then just really play with it and it's menus and such to get a good feel for it before I sync it to the computer and start reading!

Make collections! Then sync with my K1 and organize! Then transfer over my free books from MobileRead and other sites. Then read, read, read. Oh yeah, then maybe the manual if I haven't finished it before the K3 even arrives...
