I did most things better at 40 than I did at 18. Oh the confidence not to take any shit for a start. But my bum was lower

. And now its even lower still

actually because of the work I do, that wasn't an issue at 40. it's only become an issue in the last year. and that;s not the bum, just the damn knee not doing what it should!

knees are a serious pain when they don't work properly. My dad just had one replaced, and I am looking at my future. So far mega improvement for me with glucosamine/chondroitin and yoga. Still have pain but no collapses for 6 months.

I have jumped out of airplanes
broken horses
carried HEAVY backpacks (90 lbs) numerous miles
ran track in high school not to mention running in the Army
climbed telephone poles
fallen off of telephone poles

it was ONE STUPID skiing accident. the left knee is the "knee of a 25 year old" according to my surgeon. I think my right knee belongs to a corpse. maybe eventually it will get better. I'm still dealling with the torn quad in the right thigh. major recovery imepedence

I tried four capsules a day for a year, but the damn stuff just didn't work for me. Both knees shot from years of teaching skiing, fencing, and Tai Chi... I can't even handle three flights of stairs without major pain now....

.... but it was worth it.

well unfortunately the most recent report is that glucosamine is totally worthless. I spent SO much money on that!

I was on glucosamine for 2 years with no success (I thought I was going to have to give up my bicycle) , it was only when I started taking the chondroitin that things improved.

I am a registered nurse (hence the nick) who has crossed over to the Informatics side of Nursing/Health-care. Better hours and no-one pukes on your scrubs/shoes.
