It's raining!

After the deluge of to night and before the encore of this afternoon, I enjoy a broken sky. A hawk is cruising not far away. Good sign? Bad sign? Who knows, but it is touching.

Even cooler today...low 80's maybe some rain...

Saw the first red leaves of fall yesterday....eek!

Cooler this morning - only 78 F when I got up. Cloudy. VERY humid (81 %). Highs in the low 90's F today. Sigh.

Still raining. It kind of lost its appeal after the first hour though. But my plants will be happy, presumably.

.....and a chance of squirrels apparently!

Had a squirrel fall out of the sky and bounce off my belly during my morning walk saving it's life most likely from the concrete below. Apparently fell from the tree branch some 30-40 feet above. No doubt if it had hit the concrete it would be dead. Got a scratch to my wrist/thumb....but I think I better be extremely careful the rest of the day.

I'm sure it's a sign of good luck though. It's not every day a squirrel falls on you.

I had a stone fall on me once during a mountain hike. I'd rather have a squirrel any day

Uh yeah. We had a hiker here killed just yesterday due to a falling rock that struck him causing him to lose his footing and he fell hundreds of feet.....

I think you are right, I'm going to consider it my (and the squirrel's) luck day!

I witnessed 2 seagulls killing and eating a pigeon. I think the end times are upon us.

Yuck! But I suspect the pigeon was already in bad shape, I doubt they would attack a healthy one when there is so much to eat in garbage anyway
