I think my car knows I'd love to replace it (with the Full Hybrid Drive Auris).

Yesterday (or rather, this morning), I had to pick somebody up at the train station at 1:00. But when I went home, the car broke down. Halfway home. At 2:00 in the morning! Luckily, I can call the automobile club and I managed to get home.

My dynamo is broken, which means my battery isn't charged. So, it was rather flat when I put my car beside the road. I got home using a spare battery from the automobile club guy (and a cable running from under my hood to the spare battery at the feet of my passenger). But now I need to bring my car to the garage. AGAIN! Why couldn't it wait about one more month with breaking down, I have to to make an appointment for the big checkup next month...

My husband just literally told me that I read too much and it's ruining my life.

Wait. What?

If anything, it's the only thing helping to keep my sanity while a bunch of other shit goes on. Oh, and he's blaming my insomnia on me reading. I've had insomnia since before I started reading a lot, so yup, that's totally the cause right there.

I don't know why I'm this worked up about it but seriously, it's extremely annoying.

I take it your hubby isn't a big reader. Which is pretty shocking to see a reader and an anti-reader get together.

What does he do in his free time? Video Games, TV, Facebook?

Yeah - I've had that same comment "You always have your nose in a book" - it usually is code for "Pay more attention to me!"

He claims he likes reading, but I rarely see him do it, though in his defense, he's usually too busy to do much at all aside from work related stuff. He's a movie person really (funny because I can't sit still long enough to watch a movie, yet i love to read).

We're both gamers, usually, but I've been glued to my books the past couple of weeks.

Which is hilariously hypocritical in his case, as I'm usually the one that has to try to get his attention. Ho well.

If my wife read in the nude I would buy her 10 books / ebooks a day and every eReader available.

ask him if he'd rather you find your escapes in drugs or other men? people who have never suffered from real insomnia have NOOOO idea what hell it is and how any form of sane therapy/treatment that does not entail waking up with a hangover or a cyote f*ck is a life changer!

a rant that turned into a slightly renewed faith in humanity. I stopped by the clinic yesterday at about 2 in the afternoon to make a donation and was told that the bill; "was paid and THEN SOME!" they said their phone had started ringing a 8:15 when they opened and hadn't stopped.

because of this, our dog park board is going to start an emergency fund for these types of situations

Is it cradlerobbing if the other person is only mentally 6 years old?

You could do better, KK.
Can't see how you couldn't.

You're allowed to be worked up. Like KK said there are many other things you could be doing for escape/relaxation, and I dont think he'd appreciate them as much. Hope everything works out for you - we're here to help, or at least offer bad suggestions (see H_T).

Just because you spend your days naked doesn't mean everyone else wants to. Mind you, I think it's a great idea, just applicable for everyone.

I didn't think H_T was that young, or are you saying you're that old? More importantly, does that mean you like the reading in the nude idea!?
