Haggis is great

I always like staying in Hilton Hotels when I travel on business because they always have haggis on the breakfast buffet (at least the ones I go to do). Yum, yum!

Come on kids. When it is good is good, and when it is not we leave it to them, and have other things to eat. They are the kindest people that I know, seriously. Very sweet.

Anyone know how to make sour cream? My dad wanted some on his baked potato today but they stopped importing it a long time ago.

I've seen various recipes for it but most of them call for cream (I don't know what that is exactly) and/or buttermilk (can't find that either).

Sour cream is basically soured cream, but preferably with the right kind of bacteria, so it can be a little difficult to recreate at home. AFAIK, Wikipedia also has articles on sour cream and buttermilk and that might help you to identify it further. Caveat: where I live, milk products, soured and otherwise are very common - I can't quite imagine what it might be like in your home place -but I hope my little advice will help you in your search.

I'm not sure how you get your milk... homogenized or not. but if you can get fresh milk from a farm, the cream is the heavy stuff at the top of the container. you skim that off (which is why skim milk is called that) and you are left with heavy cream. it can then have sweetened things added to it (I LOVE to put in a bit of almond flavor for coffee or whipped cream), or to make sour cream, if you cannot find buttermilk, add 1 tablespoon vinegar to 2 cups of the cream, mix well, cover and let sit out over night. this will give you sour cream!

Why didn't I think of wikipedia before reading like 20 spanish forum threads about sour cream
