My (UK) K3 is now showing scheduled delivery of 28th Sept, and the cover 27th Aug. When I last looked at it, there was no estimate for the Kindle.

My order, placed on July 28th, is showing a delivery estimate of September 29 on the Open Orders summary screen. When I click the hyperlinked order number it shows the "We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date". I think something is up with their system.

I am seeing the same thing on my 7/28 K3 order. I think there is a glitch in the Matrix.

I think it's just a small glitch in the dating. When I ordered it said that my Kindle would be shipped by 9/4. I'm going with that whatever the delivery date says.

Same here - ordered right away on the 28th. My open order screen now shows a delivery date of 9/30-10/4 which is whacked out. The order screen when I open it still has the notice that they will email me when they have a delivery date estimate.

The cover has a delivery date of 9/1-9/3 which is in line with being released on 8/27 since I had the standard shipping. But even that when I look at the expanded order shows estimated shipping date of 8/27 with no specified delivery date.

Good grief. Hopefully everything will be shipped around the original estimate of 9/27 as I travel in an RV and will be heading back to Florida for the winter by the end of September, so wouldn't even be here in NY to receive it.

Will have to keep a close eye on this and might have to cancel or delay the shipping date if this doesn't change.


UPDATE: Mine is back to the "will notify" as well. This was a strange happening. LOL

I emailed customer service and got this reply - I think they finally twigged....

'I understand that you would like to know if the order # will be delivered to you
by the original promised date 'September 4th'.

Per your email, I would like to confirm that the orders placed after midday 1st
August and before August 5th will be dispatched on or before September 4th.

As you have placed this order on August 02, 2010, it will be delivered to you as promised. Rest assured, there is no need to concern.'

I had a lady phone me up from Kindle Support, in reply to my mail. She said it was a technical problem apparently caused by their system realising everything was out of stock and then working its own delivery date out!

Don't you love a computer with a brain!
