The Internet can be just a TV you "talk" to, a breeding ground for insanity, mass hysteria. The Stupidity Plague.
It could be a wonderful learning tool, if one can filter out the propaganda.

Reading never harmed anyone sane.
Socialization is not an indicator of mental health.
Or intelligence.
The Internet's greatest flaws indicate the opposite..

Today I watched the most recent episode of Lie to Me (the fictional series based on the real-life research of Paul Ekman, who also serves as consultant to the show). It was great, but would have made a better two-parter. Tim Roth is awesome as Dr. Cal Lightman, but sometimes I think Lightman is an idiot. For someone so obviously intelligent, he has some major self-destructive tendencies. He's the best flawed genius since Dr. Gregory House.

Someone here at Mobileread told me that House was modeled after Sherlock Holmes, and Wilson on Watson. I never saw it until they mentioned this... but once they did I totally get it.

I have watched pretty much all of Season 1 of Lie to Me... but at this point it just seems a bit formulaic to me as does House too. Both kind of bore me at this point... but I still watch them, cause the rest of the family likes them.

About to go bop around on the living room floor for about 30 minutes. I would leave kenny in charge but last time I did the ladies teamed up on him and wrestled him down to the ground.

Actually that probably isnt a bad thing for the lonely old guy...kenny is in charge again.
