I came while trying to figure out what reader I wanted to get last year. I stayed because of (in no particular order):
the people
the community
the fun
the current events
the women

I enjoy the people here immensely, as has been mentioned there is such a diverse group of nationalities, personalities, languages, backgrounds - it is an education just hanging our here. I like that for any discussion you can get the opinion of someone from almost every side of the topic, in some cases it is a real eye opener.

It is the people that make up the community but it is also the structure of the forums itself, I can go hang out in whatever place I feel like and there is always something interesting to read or fun to take part in.

I like that the main focus of the site is so narrow with some branching out into related topics. I can go hang at the news forum or general discussion and find out what is happening in the industry in general. And be pretty much assured that is all relevant - or at least interesting.

I stumbled in here soon after I got my 505 - I'd googled for "free ebook library software" because Sony's offering was so tatty. I got useful advice, great entertainment, lots and lots and lots and lots of information, and a significant new addiction habit. If it weren't for the pesky day job, I'd be visiting here every day. It's a fun place with great people.

Seriously, though - I dropped by for technical advice on my ereader devices, and stayed for the civilised but slightly geeky conversation and the pictures of men in kilts
