I like it for pursuing random thoughts. The other day I happened to remember singing "Erie Canal" in grade school (don't remember what brought up that particular memory). I was away from home at the time, so I switched from the book I was reading to wikipedia and spent an enjoyable half-hour reading about canals in Ohio. Sounds odd, I know, but I'm an info junkie.
