I hope you can find the Cds needed to go back to XP. But I don't see why Sony won't help you out. Do you have a local Sony Style shop?

The big Vaio is a really good machine, but the proprietary stuff on it can be a pain. I do think that I'll refrain from buying a new computer though. My Vaio UX180 (the handtop) is handling the Reader 505 really well. It's just a lot of squinting to see the tiny screen - but until now I really hadn't found a use for it. Being the "mother ship" for the 505 makes me feel somewhat less silly for purchasing it a year ago. Larry
