User CP
I like the User CP function. Can keep myself updated on those threads I am involved in. However, when I'm finished with reading a thread and want to return to User CP I have to scroll all the way to the top. Next time you do an update to the system or decide to change the layout, perhaps - if it is technically possible - you could add a User CP link on the bottom of a page?

Can't you just use your browser's "back" function? I do. I have my list of subscribed forums in my CP, and constantly go back to it with the "back" function.

Except that the last read thread will then still appear as not yet read.

You could add the link to USER CP to your bookmarks/favourites toolbar in your browser.

There is also the "forum jump" at the bottom of pages. The CP can be arrived at through this also. "CP" is at the top of the list inside the "forum jump."

If we could set a "default forum" in the edit options for the "forum jump" field, that would do the trick. My favourite MobileRead forums I keep on my browser. |

Yes, it would be great if there was an option to set a default. Another way would be to have a checkbox next to the forum jump to lock it (this could be more versatile and faster to find).

I do like the idea of duplicating that bar at the bottom, but in the meantime, at the very bottom right, you'll find the "Top" button which takes you straight back to the Top, where you can then click on User CP.

In the meantime the Firefox users could get the fire gestures addon. It allows you to do much of the clicking with a mouse movement instead (you need to hold down the right mouse button while gesturing). For example the "scroll to top" feature is one left stroke and one upwards - like "L".
ATTTENTION!!! This thing is addictive! And you occasionally try it in windows explorer and other programs. Edit: I found a video: Last edited by LCF; 07-31-2010 at 05:01 AM. |
