Thehumanking: Here is a link to the DX graphite model from the Amazon site
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER Kindlematic: Thank you very much for all the information you have provided. As soon as I get my device, we can work together on some improvements. The first thing I am going to do dissect it and see what I can do to make it better. I will definitely try to come up with a better PDF viewer. There are other devices that will be out later this year or early next year. The Pocketbook 901, for example, is one such device with a large eInk screen. The PDF features on the Pocketbook devices are excellent. Hopefully, the nifty features are also on the 901 model. The model that was announced has no Wi-Fi, no cellular connection, but it does have an SD card for expansion. There might be other models in that same line with those features for an extra fee. I am sure that this is not the only company working on large display readers. Many devices will hit the market, some of them unannounced, by the middle of next year. I think in late 2011 we will have many choices of devices with very good support for PDF. |

No problem, my friend. I guess as long as we all understand that we are buying a somewhat "crippled" device when it comes to reading PDFs. I am not getting my hopes up too high on Amazon completely fixing PDF support on the Kindle devices.
I will certainly be keeping an eagle eye on the market for any new large factor e-readers. |

For the medium text-around-images quality and better quality for the text only pages, I'm fine with that. At least, it will be alot more better than reading off computer monitors. I have been with computers, professionally, for over 9 years, and these days my eyes are really strained.
Kindle DX will be a good help to keep up with the technology, to read books and so on. |
