I got the cover they offered as a package deal when I bought my DXG (which is the 'old' DX cover), but I am eyeing an Oberon. Hard. Those are *seriously* beautiful...

Agreed on Vaja. Had a Vaja case for my iPAC (Compaq PDA). They make great stuff.
Please do post your thoughts on the Noreve. Curious if it works well when folded back on itself, give that the pockets will then be on the back.

I'd really like to know what the Noreve feels like on the inside - I always hold the cover, not the Kindle, and fold covers flat. I've heard the Noreve will fold flat, but haven't heard what it feels like.

The feel of the wool on the inside of the Oberon is the only negative thing I can say about the case - but I find it irritating and distracting.

I just discovered the Moleskine case [Amazon] - it looks great and I cannot wait to have the spare change to oder one. It does look bulky, but I really like the notepad inside and that will require some bulk. Plus - halleluljah - it's lefty-friendly!!!

*screeeeeeech* oh snap, it has a suede lining. Why do I have to wrap my Kindle in dead animal?!?!

I received my Noreve case and I am thrilled with it. I will post some pics if I can figure out how to get my new cheap digital to take a color accurate photo. However the inside and outside are smooth leather, The inner cover has several what I would call leaves for storage (postcards would fit), several cutouts for business cards, two small cutouts for SD cards?, and a window for an ID card. I actually don't have any plans to store anything. All of this is smooth leather with a black silklike lining. One can fold it back exactly like the basic Kindle cover. The kindle slides into Noreve's rail system and is a bit loose for easy removal. It slides in from the hinge side so there is no way for it to slide out the side. I would imagine it would still fit with a gel skin. The whole effect is like an expensive folio.

NM. Turns out the "lightly padded plush suede microfiber lining in ivory color" is microsuede, which is a synthetic material, right? Phew.

Thumbs up

Got my Kindle and the M-Edge Go! case this past weekend. Thought it would be a temporary case until I found something better but no need. It's perfect for my needs.

I can post some pix and a review if people want...

Well, I pulled the trigger on an Oberon cover for my DXG The Sky Dragon in black, to be precise.

I opted for USPS shipping, so it'll take a while getting here...

Well, I got the new Kindle DX case, in Orange, and I must say, it's great! A little pricey, but fits well, and the clean look is really nice. Also, the Orange is darker and nowhere near as bright as the pictures, so a perfect match for the graphite color.

Also, the back of the case is magnetic, which really helps.

Another Noreve question . . . I know they use the "rail system" with the Kindle sliding in from the center of the case. With the case folded open all the way to read, is there any way that the Kindle would be in danger of sliding back out from the side where there is no 'rail'? I guess I'm having trouble envisioning how the system keeps the Kindle from sliding towards the left when the cover is folded back.

I got an M-Edge Executive - it's on its way back. I don't like the redesign where they made it wider to accomodate the light. Such a shame - for the K1, it was the perfect cover. So it and it's little brother "Go" are going back from whence they came, and the search continues
for the 'perfect' cover.

It's free to move about a quarter inch - after that one would have to push to get it out, it won't fall all the way out on it's own. I tried shaking it and it just wouldn't fall further than half an inch without my pushing it. I think it's because the rail system has some friction - it's leather, not bare metal touching the kindle.

The looseness may bother some people and a gelskin would probably make it tighter, but I like the option to pop it out easily and read it bare if I wish.

Thanks - just what I needed to know. I think I'm 'sold' on the Noreve now . . .

How long did it take you to get yours after you ordered it?

Wow - that really is quick. I think I've seen a lot of people say it's about three weeks. I don't think I'll count on being as lucky as you were!
