Why do you disagree, Geoff? What other portable device, other than something like a notebook PC, has such a wide range of different book reading applications available?

No you misunderstood my mirth. A lot of the anti-Apple brigade would have you believe the lack of choice with Apple devices.

That's all I meant .....

It's happened to me twice now - once when iBooks was updated from 1.0 to 1.1, and again with this firmware upgrade. Very annoying when I've spent a long time arranging my books into series on the bookshelf. I think I'll have to start using Calibre to add the series name and order into the title.

Hi, i am new here but i found same issue. It is rather slow compared to stanza but i love the highlight and bookmark feature.

I kept using ibook because when i am reading, i don't really need speed app.

I have problem for converting pdf to epub and the annoying one is the left and right margin of the converted ebook. It took a lot of margin compared to ebook that bought from ibook store. I've tried to put margin at "0" on calibre but it didn't change the margin or might only change it a bit.
Anyone already solved this yet?

I've always had trouble converting PDF to ePub... I have now just let it go, and read the PDF's in Goodreader or Stanza...... much less headache, and it works.... heck now that I think about it ... you can read the PDF's in iBooks now as well.....

I like Good reader too but I wish there was a way to organize books into catagories or folders.

goodreader does have folders.. very easy to organize books with it.

ibooks doesn't have folders. but you can assign categories to books and then sort them by categories in list view.
