They're roughly half the weight of an iPad. Easier to hold for long periods. If I had an iPad (and I do want one, or at least some sort of tablet PC), I doubt I'd use it for reading books. Comics, maybe, or PDFs possibly, but not most books. Then again, who knows? That could all change once I had one.
