I dispatch trucks. It's been slow for a while and I ran out of websites to occupy my time so now I read....a lot

I love this topic - I read all of the replies, and obviously I have a very dull life (but if my husband ever read while we were doing that, I would be more famous than Lorena Bobbit).

I have read in every line I have ever been in. Don't even mind screening, because I can usually finish a chapter or two. Probably the most unusual is waiting in the car pool line for my daughter. Nothing unusual about that, but I get there REALLY EARLY, so I can get a lot of reading in. I increase the font size and read at night in bed with a very dim light. I read while I knit (turing pages really slows me down, but I am not in a race).

Obviously, I am too wild for this group.

I like the idea of getting places extremely early to fit in time for reading. Even if you don't have the most exciting examples, you can live vicariously through ours. That's what reading is all about! What sort of stuff do you usually read?

Oh, I am pretty eclectic. I go from romance to mysteries to thrillers to bestsellers to political to self-help to general nonfiction. About the only things I don't like are histories and science fiction, although I love a good vampire romance.

I do love these examples. When I last had surgery, I didn't have my kindle. But I was talking Cubs with the Dr. Nothing would be better to get me in the mood to go under.

Ooooo, barnacle-y!
Did it have to be homemade, though? Couldn't buy one off the shelf?

Yeah, I mean reading while doing that. Since she kept her eyes closed, and my V3 was on a stand on my bedside table, and I could easily reach the next-page button with my left hand, and the book was REALLY good...
I actually stopped reading after a few pages because I reached the end of the chapter.
A romantic, I see.

That looks quite an impressive bit of kit. Where did you get the design? Why did you build such a large one? How many people go in it? Any windows? Are you all very trusting? Is there a web site about it?

Now if only he were reading on the sub in the picture, then it'd be perfect! Still though, that is easily in my top 5 for this thread. Bravo!

Peter seen in the picture is the main designer and builder. He designed it himself. Its the 3rd sub so far, 17.3 meters long.

We can be around 8 in it, but we only dive with 6, since we only have oxygen masks onboard for 6(just in case)

Yes there are plenty of windows.

You can see more pictures of the sub here

Our next project is sending a man into space in a homemade rocket and spaceship. www.Copenhagensuborbitals.com

Theres a thread about the rocket on something awful

Ps: thats me sitting on top of the rocket, playing Major Kong
