Wonder whether there's any chance Amazon will sync Kindle books with Audible books. I would love that.

I do carry my opus in job interviews. Hey, what do you do in the metro to get to the job interview ? Reading of course.

It was incredibly beautiful - there were 3 volcanoes poking through a sea of cloud. Each one was active. Each one was spewing stuff into the sky and had streams of lava pouring down the side. But after four hours of staring at the same (beautiful) thing I found I needed to get back to my book. I did keep some of the lava that fell nearby and still have a piece on my mantelpiece.

Now you mention it, I did read while on a job interview. I had to talk to these two persons first, and then to these other two. And in between I had to wait a bit.

Not too extreme, but I've unpacked my MM and started reading while donating blood. The process is short and easy, but it still gives time for some lovely Chejov in between.

BTW, I'd like to advocate blood donations, whatever your blood type is. They're the easiest way to help others who really really need help!

Not really extreme, but they do count I guess
  • During the check-in at an airport, I was held back from boarding the plane as my backpack set the alarm off when it was under the scanner. I was held back and was made to wait when they rechecked my bag, and I was frisked thrice. I was reading on my iPaq 3650 (got it from Ricky ) the whole time. And I missed the flight too, thanks to a screwdriver in my bag which took a long time to be found. Had to read as it was the ending of a book and was thrilling.
  • Again, at a job interview. Finished the written test, didnt know if I had cleared it, instead I sat down to read as the results were going to be announced 15 minutes later. At the end, when the results were out, everyone ran to check them out. I simply continued the reading and finally when I saw the results after 15 minutes found out I was through.
  • This time I was getting bashed by my mother for some stupid thing I had done. Mother was really angry and was yelling at the top of her voice. And I was pretending to be looking down in shame, but actually was busy reading. It was extreme on a personal basis.

I support this! I've been a B- donor in Australia for a number or years.
E-book reading never worked me while donating. People always talk to you about 'whatchyadoing', so no time to read

I literally do not leave home without my sony reader in my bag. Though sometimes I think I over do it, like these examples....

Not exactly extreme but I do kindda regret some of them:

- On a gondola in Venice
- While going up the stairs of the Eiffel Tower
- In the London Eye
- On a gorgeous Maldives Beach......

Kindda makes me annoyed that I wasn't enjoying what was right in front of me.

If you've put up pics somewhere, I'd love to see them. I've dragged a camera along for a few trips and it's great to play travel photographer. Definitely shoot me a link by PM if you don't feel like sharing publicly.

Umm... in the toilet...

Unfortunately, it does result in my spending an inordinate amount of time in there...
I've taken my Sony Reader on interview before - and introduced it to the interviewer. (Reduces your nerves to have something read while waiting too!)

I loved that book! It's on my reader, too. (And in my Calibre library, of course.) :-)

It's supposed to eventually be a trilogy, I think.
