Just finished and posted my latest digital painting.....almost a year in the making.

Of course most of that was abandonment. I picked it back up and finished it and now it's time to abandon it again.

This was painted traditionally -by hand - using Corel Painter and my Wacom drawing tablet. It is from one of my own photographs. I've attached a thumbnail. Also in my gallery at:

Very striking perspective - I'd like to see a large version on a wall and be able to walk around and gaze at it from different angles.

Seriously it's a disturbing and interesting subject. Must have been difficult with so many subtle hues to differentiate from one another. Looks great on the iPad.

So, at 10:44pm, I am now in bed finishing up my first day of being 40, writing this missive from one of my gifts (the iPad - the puzzle's keyboard required some assembly). I have had Mother here since Sunday, and am expecting the rest of the rabble (siblings and partners) staying for the weekend. I'm looking forward to next week.

I've looked forward to it for a few years now. It's simultaneously a credible, and yet ridiculous because of it, age for me. No one will believe that I'm 40, I'm sure.

Oh, I don't know. I could just about believe you are 40. 14 is stretching it too much. No 14 month old could have your erudition. A 40 month old, on the other hand...
