Kindle 2 with U.S. Wireless Refurbished for $110.

As reported on Gizmodo, there's a good deal on refurbished units right now. I'm sure quantities are limited.

I'm wondering if this means a Kindle 3 around the corner.

A Kindle 2 bound to the Spring network only is only useful as a replacement device.

Actually I still have the original Kindle 1 with Sprint and it works great. A lot has to do with service where you live. I'm in the SF Bay Area. I'm thinking of getting the DX and the thing that concerns me is that AT&T service is so bad where I live. I gave up on them because I could never get phone calls in my house.

See, it's the opposite here. I have the Kindle 1 with Sprint and the Whispernet is unusable. The AT&T on the global DX is the one that works for us. <shrug>

Exactly ... for you and Alisa this is a terrific deal -- special circumstances. $110 for any Kindle (where the wireless thing works well for you) seems like a terrific deal!
