Eating coconut layer cake and thinking about future purchases. I can upgrade my phone, but I really don't need to...and I like my phone. Chris asked if I had a choice would I want a new phone or a nook. I told him a nook, hands down. So what will probably happen is he'll use the available phone upgrade and I'll get a nook...or something. The price cut is very tempting, but I don't really *need* an e-ink reader - I love my Asus and it does what I wanted, which is read all formats. But the battery life does leave something to be desired, which isn't an issue on a regular basis, but when it is an issue, it's REALLY an issue!

Well, if you ask me, and I doubt you would, so few ever do, but I say if you can't find a solution to the battery life problem, get whatever ereader tickles your fancy. I don't own a cellphone and don't see a point in upgrading one since the upgrades are less phone and more b.s.

All feedback welcome and appreciated! I did indeed say coconut cake, and if you were close enough, I'd share. It's not homemade though, it's frozen Pepperidge Farms.

I've liked the looks of the nook ever since it came out - the only feature I wish they'd implement is have the color covers on the bottom screen for stuff you sideload, instead of only for BN content. I hear you can get it to do that by softrooting it, but you can also turn it into a very expensive paperweight that way, so I'm not sure I want to chance it.

Well, if it's not that big a deal, get the nook and don't tamper with it.

Do you think that is a feature that might come along on an upgrade, or something they will hold for the next generation nook? That is the only thing that might make me hesitate about purchasing one right now.
