It would be more interesting if a MMPB was also compared. I suspect it would look a lot more like the ebook.

Let's suppose the publisher's profit is the same for both (4.05) and other parameters for an eBook don't change:
It gives 11.5 as the avg price for an ebook.

pBook:
If royalties are the same as for eBook (2.27), publisher's profit 4.05 and retailer's profit as for eBook (3.90), it gives the price of 15.27 for pBook.

So, why the heck they charge so expensive both of them? Only one reason - cupidity.

I did check, which may be why my post was 3 hours before the one you link to. And the link includes newer news as well- seemed like an interesting summary of the state of things.
