dark screen on my calibre reader thing

hello! I'm very new to using this. I just learned how to read using the Calibre E-book viewer, but when I go and view the book, it's super dark and I can hardly make out anything. I'm not sure how to send screenshots, but if anyone could help me, it would be much appreciated

To add a screenshot, go Advanced and select the paperclip icon from the toolbar.
