Change Metadata Edit Screen

My new Win10 laptop makes the metadata edit screen squashed. I can't edit the book descriptions as there is so little room.

Is there a way to move fields to make comments field bigger or move it to another page?

You can with the mouse grab the edges and drag the metadata edit to the size of your monitor.

edit: this example is using the metadata edit default view in preferences--behavior--edit metadata layout.

I prefer one of the 'other' layouts

Preferences: Look and Feel: Main Interface (tab): User Interface (needs restart): Narrow

(For Editing
Preferences: Behavior: Edit Metadata (single): All on 1 Tab

Then there are Tweaks that affect the MDE custom field order
Preferences: Tweaks: [I will leave it up to the user to find those they want. EVERY tweak on the LEFT has a description on the Upper RIGHT and the current setting on the Lower RIGHT

just to make it easy for the OP ...
if you have custom fields named:
pages, words, genre

that custom columns will be auto ordered by alphabet or you can choose an order like this:

metadata_edit_custom_column_order = [u'#pages',
 u'#words',
 u'#genre']

in Preferences: Tweaks search by: metadata_edit_custom_column_order
