File Transfer Question

How can I transfer files from my iPad pro to mr Onyx Boox Max 2 with the keast hassle? Can I use airdrop, or must I connect the Max 2 to my Mac mini? If the latter, how do I transfer the files? Thanks!

I don't have Max 2 but it shouldn't be a problem to use any ebook reader app or file manager on iPad with wifi transfer capability, to transfer ebooks to Max 2 wirelesly, by typing the given iPad's network address (after clicking on the wireless transfer icon in the particular app) into the web browser on the Max 2, that will result in an opened transfer interface.

I use this method for wireless transfer from iPad to Kobo Aura One or from PC to iPad, using either wifi network on my router that I use for internet access, or wifi network of my HDD enclosure.

When I want to transfer 10-20 ebooks at once from PC to iPad I store all the files in a rar-ed file uncompressed, and extract it on the iPad thereafter.

I use free iOS apps like Foxit pdf reader, PerfectReader, CHM+ etc.

There are also cross-platform apps for wireless file sharing between iOS/Android/PC/Mac devices, like AirDroid, SHAREit, Zapya, Xender etc. and some of them don't even need existing wifi network (wireless access point) because they create their own direct wifi connection as Airdrop does.

We can also use wireless flash drives such as SanDisk

or non-wireless flash drives or flash drive SD card readers that can work with iOS devices, but in each case we should first download the file from iPad to usb flash drive and then upload it to Android (Max 2).

I use a cloud service like Dropbox. It takes a bit of effort to set up but seems easiest in use. If that's not acceptable I'd suggest using one of the AirDrop alternatives in Marinolino's post.

I installed https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...atgames.Xplore on my Note. You can use it to start a service and upload files from any browser. It also supports Cloud storage.

I also use Xplore (being a fan since Symbian days), but the problem is the sub-directory tree display refresh. It shows blank most times when trying to expand the directory structure and you may have to hold back button to see the sub-folders. Any solution to this?

Otherwise, great app with lots of features.

I noticed that bug too. In my case, just touch somewhere else on the GUI, or "pull" it a bit, will force a refresh.

Most of the time, I upload files from a browser so the "Web Server" is good enough. In case this is not feasible (public wifi), I use the cloud storage to transfer files.
