Edit Book won't open

Anyone else having issues with Edit Book? I right click on a book title, select Edit Book and nothing happens. I have tried on multiple books. I shut down my PC and restarted but that did not help.

Everything else seems to working fine. I can unpack the book(s) with no issue.

Using Calibre 2.1, Windows Vista

@library addict - close calibre, go into the install folder, should be Programs Files\Calibre2 if 64 bit, Programs Files (X86)\Calibre2 if 32 bit or Calibre Portable\Calibre if portable.

Do you see a file named ebook-edit.exe?

If so double click on it,
Does the editor start?
If not what does it do ?
If it does start then close it

why wont it start from calibre (rhetorical)
copy an epub from the library to your desktop
drag the epub on your desktop over to ebook-edit.exe and drop it
does it read the book and can you edit it
if you can then

close the editor
now drag an epub out of your library and drop it on ebook-edit.exe
does it read the book and can you edit it

So how far did you get ?

I'd guess the window is opening on a second monitor that was connected sometime in the past but is no longer plugged in or is turned off.

Not far. When I double-clicked on ebook-edit.exe I got an error message

It was working the other day. I can't remember if I've used it since upgrading to 2.1 or not though.

Checked it on a computer with Vista64Ult., Laptop Vista32Home and a with Calibre portable version on both. No problems with starting the editor.

Do a clean re-install. That is uninstall and then install again, it looks like your install is corrupted, the _regex module is missing.
