Device: Kindle Keyboard (wifi)
RSS feeds: Kindle option "Add to Collection..." not available(?)

Hi. I've only recently started using Kindle 3 wifi and Calibre.

Have worked out how to email RSS feeds to Kindle using Calibre, but I've noticed that the option "Add to Collection..." on Kindle is greyed out for these RSS feeds.

Is it possible to do some tweaking so that RSS feeds emailed to Kindle using Calibre can be added to Collections in Kindle? Have looked online for a way to do this but haven't found anything so far.

No, any "Collection" functionality in calibre is specific to Sony devices AFAIK. The only way of managing collections from Calibre is to use the Kindle Collections plugin which is in the plugins forum. However that requires your Kindle to be physically connected via USB, you cannot manage them over wifi.

The Book can be added wirelessly (and viewed), only the Collection listing part needs a USB connection.

Thanks for the replies. Seems the Kindle Collections plug-in does the trick.

(Now, if only there was a way around having to prefix Collections titles with non-alphanumeric characters in order to view them in alphabetical order on Kindle...)
