Yes, I have the version with Touchscreen and WIFI. They told me in January there will be a firmware update were the Boox can also download ebooks from the internet. Then my reader is complete.

There is no set time yet for Australia, if that's what you're talking about. We also currently only have pricing for bulk sales. But I can tell you the goal of Onyx is to keep it cheaper than Kindle and Sony comparable eReaders.

Hi Bluestar59,

I am actually managing for US, but currently I believe I can help you as well since we are not in Canada. I am currently distributing "sample" versions to people in the US and I guess in your case, Canada. It will be much cheaper than 399 Euro so long as we get reviews and suggestions. Please know what you are getting. This is an Onyx Boox 60 with Wifi and Touchscreen. All that I have in inventory are straight from the factory. It's the exact ones that you can get in Europe and Hong Kong, except of course it's in English. I suggest you do your research on eReaders before choosing an eReader. Thanks Mike. I am not contemplating a dedicated ebook reader until they are cheaper and support more file formats. The Onyx sounds impressive.

Australia never seems to see such devices and if we do, then the expense is sometimes daunting.

Hi Sabredog,

If you don't mind me asking, what other types of file formats would you like to have? I can look into those types for you since our development is probably already looking into it.

I also understand the pricing issue. Right now, the main thing that's keeping the price so high is the e-ink itself. We hope to one day be able to create a type of eReader similar to the Onyx Boox 60 and keep it to less than 100 USD.

You can download free dictionary from
http://stardict.sourceforge.net/Dictionaries.php.

Extract the downloaded dictionary file to dicts folder of SD card.
The final folder structure looks like
SDROOT\dicts\dict_a\dict_a.ifo
SDROOT\dicts\dict_a\dict_a.idx
SDROOT\dicts\dict_a\dict_a.dict.dz

SDROOT\dicts\dict_b\dict_b.ifo
SDROOT\dicts\dict_b\dict_b.idx
SDROOT\dicts\dict_b\dict_b.dict.dz

For the onyx boox.
