One can probably get ANY e reader screen from aliexpress.com. Mine was 40 bucks delivered to Hungary.

Your post doesn't really give enough information to know what is wrong. So:

- What is on the screen?
- What happens when you turn it on? Does the LED near the switch flash?
- Does anything happen when you plug it into the PC? Again, does the LED change?
- Does anything happen if you leave it plugged into the PC or a charger for a while?

In any case, at this stage you can try a factory reset:

- Plug it in and charge it for at least an hour.
- Hold the power switch in the off position for 20 seconds to ensure the device is off.
- Hold the light button down and turn it on.
- When the LED starts flashing, or the screen changes, release the light button.

If it doesn't work, try it again but wait a bit longer at each step.

If there are no physical issues with the device, the factory reset will probably fix it. If not, you can try reimaging the card. But, if there is a physical problem, you probably can't fix it unless the SD card has died.

My Kobo Glo is stuck in a reboot loop. Mayby a failure in the SD card so I need an image so I can try to replace the SD card with a new one.

You can use a larger card but in order to actually make the additional space available to the Kobo, you have to resize the 3rd partition using some partitioning software, or if you don't know how to do that, use Kobo Magic Memory (Resize Alternative) which should do the same.

And I thought that an Aura HD had a 4GB card in it. Or maybe it was the last with the 2GB card. In any case, what frostschultz said, or look at Memory Upgrade Mod Guide. It is for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools needed are the same. Also, some later Glo's have a 4GB card inside, but only have 2GB in use.

Hi All, greetings from the Netherlands! My Kobo Glo is stuck on the smiley face and will not respond :-( Tried all reset methods I found.. finally I opened it and got the SD card out.. should I flash new firmware? Can you please provide me a link? Thanks in advance.

My Kobo Glo has been dead for weeks. I have tried all hard reset methods. As a last resort I would like to try to flash a new image on the SD. Could someone please tell me where to get it?
