Need help with KUAL

I don’t have Colorsoft. What I am saying is that make sure you install bins only requested by the instructions and DON’T experiment with anything outside the instructions

I noticed that the Bin folder from the guide has a KHF folder while the one you provided does not. Is there any importance in that, maybe the configuration files were meant for older devices? I don't know about any of this stuff and with this thread being the only place I'm getting any responses I'm trying to find what I can while going blind.

Yes you need to use hard-float compatible version of MRPI.

As always, I tried the 2 bins and tried doing the update(still not sure why that's not working)

Huh. The hotfix from the guide was giving me issues, but the hotfix from the coplate download from that notmarek website seems to have taken. Looks to be properly working now........will update if any changes appear

Yes, sorry, I lost track of when that version switched to khf.

For tour case, yes, you need khf + mrpi without version check. Not sure if you can look what changes it does to skip the check to replicate it in khf version?

The MRPI and Hotfix files I needed were all on that website

Were you successful in opening the KUAL file

I have a colorsoft, which I sucessfuly JB using the standard method
Also i ran the renameotabin so that the kindle does not update
but alas it updated to 5.18.1

now I am unable to open the KUAL file, I do have KoReader already installed previously when I JB my kindle colorsoft

I reinstalled the Hotfix, MRPI and KUAL still opening KUAL gives me an error

Do you think the Jailbreak Hotfix will solve the issue as it did for you I guess?

I'm sorry but I think you may be out of luck if it updated .... hopefully it was a case of the update bin file already being there and not the update block method not being useless
