PRS-600 Inserting SD card makes reader shut off

I use my SD card for my 505 all the time, but when I put it into the 600 the staus circle thingy goes and goes and then the reader shuts off. I did this maybe 3 times with no luck. When I pop it back into the 505 it's fine.

Is it because it's not formatted to the 600? What should I do to get it to start working properly? There are no error messages that pop up at any time, and re-starting the reader is not a problem.

You cannot use the same SD card for both the 500 and 600. The XML data is different. So you'll either need to wipe the XML file(s) or get another SD card.

Do you mean the 500 or the 505? I have the 505, I don't know if that makes a difference

Ah, yeah, found that out today. I'm moving from a 500 to a 600 and had the same issue. I ended up copying the data off my card using a card reader, then formatting it in Windows. Then I put it in the 600 and had it format it for good measure, then copied everything back in calibre.
