That is correct, but I was talking about the effect it has on your life. When you are in school/university you will have about a fortnight holiday during that period. It does not matter what the exact weekday is then. And the same holds true when you are above 65. In effect it is only a 'problem' during your working life. So it will happen only 5-6 times during your lifetime.

And now I am talking for men. In the Netherlands 30% of the women don't work so for them it does not matter at all.

The first of January is worse...that falls 2 out of 7 times in the weekend.

I can recall many occasions when christmas fell into a weekend, especially when i had to work and then still got the day off at christmas rates later !!!

If you want some figures from CBS: 62% of women worked and 78,5% of men worked during 2008, so that doesn't apply to all the dutch men.

Will people who get their weekend holidays returned on a weekday please consider my feelings, poor me.

For me it's "just bad luck, better luck next year" and it makes me so sad.

It's better to talk about a new firmware update that has been promised to us, at least that gives me a bit of a laugh. Has "very soon" arrived already?

I wrote to Bookeen the other day about the upgrade and here is what they replied to me -

Sir,

Due to technical issues we still can not release the new firmware upgrade. We do apologise for the inconvenience. Please be sure that we are doing our best to solve this problem as quick as possible.

Bookeen Support Team

Not good news but they do seem to be working on trying to get a new firmware release out....

Somehow AQAP sounds funnier than ASAP. Sounds like a programmer at Bookeen biting into the table when asked if he's some spare time for another firmware update.

But all is well, I have another synonym for "soon" from Bookeens english synonyms (e)book, "as quickly as possible". Huray!

very soon, shortly, presently, before long, in brief delays, when we get "aroundtoit", as quickly as possible, etcetera.

At least they seem to be working on make you believe they are actually working on it...
They have not even done so much for quite a while.

I'm with you on that. I'm not sure I believe they are working on it...They have such a weird behaviour, I begin to feel that we will never see that update. Depressing thought...Back to

I'm going to start asking them more about what is holding up the firmware now....

Lets see what I get.

Don't consider you're speaking for everyone there !
Though I agree the knowing more about the reason of the delay would be nice, i see no point in asking questions they probably won't respond to.

One point is to show that they do not respond to support questions. Thinking about it that has not happened for me for any other company or seller.
