This is a real shame. Moejoe was the first e-book author I talked with when I started e-publishing my own stuff (I connected with him through twitter, as @typewriterhead). His encouragement meant a lot to me, and I drew inspiration from what he was able to accomplish creating his own art and getting it out into the world on his own terms. I hope he won't mind if I continue to pass along copies of his work to friends, respecting the Creative Commons license he published under; his stuff is just too insanely good not to share. |

Moejoe, I hope you understand the respect this comes from: "I have no mouth, and I must scream" "I hate being wrong, but I love it when I'm set straight" - H. Ellison Take Care, Moejoe, and I hope we hear more from you soon. |

Let me add my slightly belated voice to the choir. If you have, indeed ceased to write, then the world much the poorer by it. I hope that you can find the right avenue of release for the pent up creativity that your writing so obviously was doing. Peace, my friend... |

I'm gone for a little while to concentrate on real life and what do I find when I come back but that mojoe isn't going to be here any more! It's his decision, but I'm sad that I won't be able to read more |

(I've been struggling with myself over this reply for sometime, hence the delay. Especially since it may well be based on a mis-conception...) Moejoe, I may not always have agreed with your positions on some subjects, but I do respect your consistency, passion and wonderful command of the language. In the same way, I shall miss your writings. Quote:
However, it can also be read that you are frustrated at a world that doesn't live up to your expectations. If that is the case, you're right. It doesn't. It never has and it never will. But one thing we can all do whilst we are here is change it and improve it so that it is closer to what we would wish, and is better for others. And chief among those who can make those changes are the writers and thinkers. Where would the world be today without the likes of Tom Paine, or Orwell, or Dickens, or Voltaire, or Rosseau, or Milton, or Bunyan. You, as they, have the ability to use words to stir people to improve the world. If this is the case, then you should write about the importance of these sentiments have been abandoned by the world. And you should be raising them centre stage again. I don't know which I hope it is, but if it is the second, then I can't help but feel I will think, slightly, less of you for not fighting on for what you believe in. But whichever it is, I would still like to count you as a friend. LazyScot

Where I've been, what I saw there, and what I've brought back with me I only realised this very night as the sky burned above the town of my birth. As we draped ourselves in shawls of smoke, our faces tanned orange and green and red from the blooms of fireworks, I imagined I could smell the fires all over England. And in those fires, possibilities, the thundered drumming of Phoenix wings. From the ashes of what once was, something has risen. I'm not quite sure what that something is...not yet, but I'm close. Really close. In any case, you shouldn't worry, nobody should because it's Guy Fawlkes Night Remember, remember the fifth of November..

So happy MoeJoe is back. He's my favou.. ahem second to zelda my favourite person on this forum. And from what I have read from him, I should probably have been banned long before such nonsense was ever uttered about him. Anyways this is a place of tolerance and I welcome him back. Just as well as I welcome the genuine expression of a difference of opinion. That is after all what a discussion board is all about. |
