And I find paperbacks much more hassle. I need to get to town to buy one, or be at home for the mailman to deliver one. The prices of pbooks are higher than those of ebooks. The selection of pbooks is smaller (unless I order abroad, which means I'll have to wait even longer before I can read a book and the price goes up even more) than those of ebooks. So, while your points might be true for some people, they most certainly aren't true for me.

My ereader has me reading a lot of authors that would NEVER have had a chance to get their works out there without the ebook and e-readers. Not the least of them the very talented authors who are also part of the MobileRead community.

I'll definitively get e-book over paperback. Main reason being the reader is smaller and lighter than the average paperback. And I already have enough books filling my room. As far as price are concerned, i won't go over paperback prices. And there, when you buy English book in France, they are about 12 euros. Most of time, e-book will cost less. Opportunitstic of Sony to jump on the ePub bandwagon - some may say that's vision, but if so it's been blurred for many years.

PRS-505 does support Adobe's ADEPT DRM for PDF and EPUB files.

the 505 has supported ADEPT for quite some time. It is the 500 that does not support it.

I might be better off if drm wasn't supported on my sony as then I probably wouldn't spend as much money on books.

There are not many sites or ebooks available here in the UK. Certainly free ones are very very few and far between. I don't understand why we cannot buy books from the US. Or even download the free ones. If I was persoally there I could go into B&N and buy a book with no restrictions so?????? Over here I can still buy pbooks at half the cost of an ebook. And it uses all that paper etc! Rant over from quite a disappointed user.
