here they close around 19:00 luckily. (maybe a bit later during the week, depends on the shop, but mostly not past 19:30). i would never have been able to replace it if they closed at 16:30.

here we have a major computer chain called surcouf, but i wouldn't buy anything from them, it's always overpriced and if you have to go in person it's like a zoo, worse than ikea. and i think even surcouf is closed on sundays. the fnac sells computers too but only ready-made ones, and again they're closed on sundays. a lot of computer shopping is done online but sometimes you're in a hurry...

and most of the shops i go to are the small ones, with only a few employees.

In the big town about 45 minutes away, yes. But I live near a much smaller town.

Me too. Generally the service is better and they are more friendly and knowledgeable. I found out the larger the store, the worst the knowledge. There was once this tiny computer store. It was located in the cellar of a building. But everybody who was serious about computers went there. They never advertised, it all was done by word of mouth. Now, they have 4 shops. And they've no idea what they're selling anymore.

aaarg !!! i REALLY HATE IT when i know exactly what font i want to use for something and i can see it clearly in my mind but i don't remember the name and i CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIND THE FONT.
