Not really as that excludes postage and a decent BT Mouse is €12 in a local shop. It's smaller than average and presumably the 2 buttons, wheel button and wheel could work with a suitable script on the Kobo.

This is a lot less hardware. £8 would be reasonable.

I could see myself buying it if were to ever go on sale, honestly. Would be helpful when I read on the treadmill--trying to reach up and touch the screen while walking is very failure-prone.

Remotes are useful if you mount or prop up your reader. They are not useful if you only hold your reader.

Also useful for some disabled people. If this had been available, I maybe have gone for different model than Libra H2O, I chose for page turn buttons.

It also helps those with arthritis. My wife has problems with touch screens because her fingers curve down. She hits the screens with the nail and the very tip of her fingers.

Yesterday Kobo announced that the release of the new Kobo Remote has been delayed.

The new release date is December 2nd.

I find it rather ludicrous personally..
This is one step before the remote to update/control the other remote (and these already exist mind), used in turn to control the gadget itself; gadget per se being yet another optional purchase made -needless to say- for simplifying our lives and making them all around easier.

Because what more practical than having yet another gizmo you'll consciously train yourself to depend on!

Also, i see cheap plastic. Always adds to the allure, does it not; the sheer flimsiness of it, i find it inspiring really. I buy me nice things and all that.

But all that aside, were i in need of this, i'd be hoping for voice recognition; not gizmos and extra cables.

I not only hate the idea of having to use voice to change pages, I also do not want to be within earshot of someone else changing pages by voice.

yes.

Also there are no wires. Not even to charge, which is good. Very low power devices (pen, mouse, keyboard, remotes, clocks, simple temperature, doorbell with button only) are better off using long life alkaline or lithium cells than rechargeable.

These already exit. I have a bluetooth page turner that works on my Kobo libra color. I also have a different page turner that uses a clip device for my Kobo Sage. No need to spend $30. Just search "ereader page turner" on Amazon. Much cheaper.

Personally, I don't want a clip on page turner.

As far as which bluetooth page turner you are using on your Kobo, could you provide a link to it (preferably on Amazon) and what you needed to do on the Libra2, please? you had no problems with the bluetooth connection?
