Why epub files' default font size is too large?
I can't figure out why epub files default font size on kobo stock reader too larger than kepub files.
It push me convert every single epub file to kepub extension 🤷🤷

That's just the way it is. There is a patch that makes the font size between epub and kepub the same, but I think it doesn't work with the latest firmware (I may be wrong about that, though).

Dude you mean kobopatch I guess.

https://github.com/pgaskin/kobopatch-patches

It's OK but maybe not work any more on 4.4x fw.

Does anyone know the size difference between KePub and ePub on Kobo stock firmware? Of that's the case, it's very easy to use Modify ePub on those eBooks planned to be read as ePub to adjust the font size to match KePub.

Perhaps this no longer matters if you've decided to use KOReader, but FYI...

To the best of my knowledge the Unify font sizes Kobo patch is still working OK in fw 4.43.23418 on my LibraColour, so it should also work on the ClaraBW and ClaraColour.

It seems to be only fw 4-38-23429 which has problems with many of the patches in libnickel.so.1.0.0.yaml.

That is pretty much correct. Build 23429 seems to have broken a lot more patches including Unify Font Sizes <sniffle> than build 23418.

How can a Kobo patch be "Windows Only"? No Kobo model runs windows.

Just to get slightly back on topic. The ePub font size is not too large. The KePub font size is too small.
